importantly, welcome to the best guild in Otaniemi, Inkubio!
To start off
Download Telegram, there you’ll find a group for Inkubio fuksis where you can freely chat and ask questions about anything. In addition to that there’s an information channel (Moo-tifications by Nella) where your fuksi captain will post all the important updates so you won’t miss a thing.
If you’re a Master’s student in Life Science Technologies, join the LifeTech group to chat with your fellow Master’s students and get information about LifeTech events.
Orientation week and kickstart
Mark Orientation Week (25-29 August) in your calendar, it’s a week full of events before the official start of school. Also keep Saturday, 16 August, free for the kickstart event, where you’ll get an early taste of the autumn fun and a change to meet your fellow fuksis and tutors before orientation begins. The Kickstart takes place at Alvari Square, next to the Undergraduate Centre(Otakaari 1) in Otaniemi, starting at 2 PM.

If needed, apply for student housing through AYY (domo.ayy.fi) or HOAS (hoas.fi). Download the FRANK app to access student discounts, and make sure to register as an attending student at the university by July 31 at the latest. You’ll also receive the Fuksi Guide by email during the summer, it includes everything you need to know for the autumn. For more information about studying in Finland, look at the Aalto student guides at (www.aalto.fi/en/new-students)
